Ford has just announced that the first 500 GT’s are now available to order, so if were planning to get your hands on the car you better hurry, as it is likely to sell out soon.
Fans of speed and power will finally be able to place an order on the highly-anticipated GT, which is scheduled for delivery in 2017.
According to the brand, it will build 250 GT’s a year meaning, two year’s worth of GT’s are now up for grabs.
People who have purchased the last generation of Ford GT, new back in 2005/6 are said to be given priority to buy the new car should they wish to own it.
If you’re thinking about getting your hands on one of the cars, don’t get too excited. With a price tag in excess of £300,000 only the super-rich will be able to afford the car.
Introduced at the 2015 North American International Show, the all-new GT not only looks extreme, aggressive and bold, but it also offers an incredibly smooth driving experience.
Fitted with a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo engine, the vehicle is said to be capable of producing 600 hp (450kW), making it extremely powerful.
Since 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the GT winning the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, the new GT will run in the 2016 event to mark the anniversary.
In total, 1000 GT’s are scheduled to be produced.
